Know your rights!
Whether you’ve already secured a co-op, are still searching, or are preparing for future years, one of the first steps to success is knowing your rights as an employee. This webpage specifically discusses labour rights in Ontario. Provincial legislation differs, and although it will be very similar, be sure to double-check your rights depending on the province you’re employed in.

The Employment Standards Act describes the rights and responsibilities of both employees and employers. Each province has its own version of the Act, so be sure to check for the province you’re working in!
